"Missed me?"
Upon hearing Jared's words, even though she was on the phone, Betsy's ears couldn't help but turn red. Thinking back to last night's crazy episode, her face began to warm up too.
Jared's voice on the phone was deep and magnetic. Just listening to it gave her a strange feeling, like her ears could become pregnant.
Betsy pursed her lips and replied calmly, "Don't talk nonsense."
"I'm not talking nonsense. I miss you too, baby!"
There seemed to be a hint of gentle laughter in Jared's voice, making people want to get immersed in it.
At this point, Betsy's face felt even hotter. She took a sip of water and finally managed to calm down.
"If everything goes as planned, I'm coming back this weekend, and I might even have dinner with you."
Upon hearing Jared's words, Betsy said, "Would you like me to pick you up at the airport?"
