Bing hadn't expected Betsy Russell to not recognize her at all. Her face changed slightly, but quickly returned to a calm and collected expression as she sat down on a nearby sofa.
"My name is Bing!" Bing introduced herself.
"Miss Eliot, nice to meet you!"
Only then Betsy remembered that Carl's sister's name was Bing. Her lips curled up into a smile, and she asked, "How may I help you?"
"It's nothing important. I just saw Miss Russell helping your friend to pick out clothes, and those clothes suit her very well. Miss Russell has good taste!"
"Thank you."
Seeing that Betsy had no intention of talking to her, Bing continued, "Although Miss Russell has a good eye for clothing, her taste in men seems to be somewhat lacking."
Betsy had been wondering why Bing had sought her out when they had no interaction with each other.
Now she understood: Bing was simply here to belittle Jared Hughes.
