"Let's go out to eat!" said Jared Hughes as he let go of Betsy Russell.
Betsy smiled and nodded, she wasn't hungry yet.
When the two of them left, they shared the hamburgers with Lisa Donovan and the others.
After eating out, they returned home. Betsy thought that Jared wouldn't find the custom-made vase she had ordered because he had never been in the study before.
When Betsy came out of the bedroom after making a phone call, she didn't see Jared in the living room. She noticed the door of the study was slightly open and walked towards it.
She pushed open the door and saw Jared standing in front of her desk.
"Babe," Jared looked back at Betsy, "What's this?"
Betsy's ears turned red involuntarily. She knew Jared was feigning ignorance, so she didn't answer his question and asked, "What are you doing here?"
Jared's lips imperceptibly curved up, then quickly returned to neutral. "I just wanted to read."
