Joseph Kabul was sitting in the passenger seat, scrolling through his phone, when he suddenly saw the proposal video Jared Hughes had made for Betsy Russell. He looked back at Thad Drew, only to see him standing there with a gloomy expression.
Through the music playing on Thad's phone, Joseph could tell that he was also watching the proposal video.
The car was eerily quiet.
After a while, Joseph finally spoke up, "Jared Hughes proposed to Betsy."
Upon hearing this, the hand Thad held his phone with trembled and his eyebrows furrowed.
Thad looked up at Joseph, his expression calm, and countered, "How do you know Betsy will definitely accept?"
Joseph felt a little helpless at Thad's response and quickly advised, "I think Betsy has no reason not to accept. They already met each other's parents on Christmas Eve. It's just a matter of time before they get married."
Although Thad knew Joseph wasn't wrong, he didn't want to hear it at all.
