"You and Mom already know about Jared Hughes, right?"
Upon hearing this, Slevin Russell snorted and said, "That kid Jared really went too far! He's the CEO of MK. Why didn't he say so earlier? I was worried about him getting into trouble back then. Now it seems that I was worried for nothing!"
At this point, Betsy Russell felt somewhat torn between her boyfriend and her father.
After hesitating for a moment, Betsy said, "Actually, I didn't know about it until recently either."
In fact, Slevin wasn't really angry. He was happy that Jared had such capabilities. Knowing that when he gets old, Betsy won't be helpless, and he can trust Jared with her.
"I'm not angry," Slevin said, sighing slightly. "Actually, it's a good thing that he's capable."
Betsy felt relieved upon hearing her father's words, "You have to trust me, your daughter's taste has never been wrong!"
