Jared Hughes saw that Betsy Russell was frightened, so he reached out to hug her, kissed her forehead, and said, "It's okay, don't be afraid."
Betsy breathed a sigh of relief, feeling that her condition was a bit off. She remembered being hypnotized before and looked up at Jared, asking, "Was it him who kidnapped me back in Ponce City?"
"No, it wasn't him." Jared said with certainty.
Betsy looked at Jared seriously, knowing that he wasn't lying, "I've always thought it was him who kidnapped me."
"Were you hypnotized then?"
Betsy shook her head slightly and said earnestly, "Hypnotize me later and see if we can find memories from my time in Ponce City."
"You suspect…"
"Let's talk about it after we get back," Betsy said, and then she smiled at Jared, "Were you beaten up?"
Jared raised his eyebrows slightly and said, "Yes, I was. Baby, do you want to see?"
