Jared Hughes's eyebrows wrinkled slightly, as he let go of Betsy Russell with some dissatisfaction in his eyes. "Let me see who it is."
Only then did some consciousness gradually return to Betsy. She simply straightened her clothes and sat up from the sofa.
When Jared reached the entrance door, Betsy suddenly remembered that it might be the takeaway food she had ordered.
Jared walked in carrying the takeaway and looked at Betsy curiously. "Are you hungry?"
His voice was low, husky, and magnetic; Betsy's ears turned red involuntarily upon hearing it.
She nodded gently, and her gaze accidentally fell on Jared's lips stained with her lipstick. A hint of embarrassment flashed through her eyes. She pointed to her own lips, "Look at your mouth."
Jared looked at Betsy skeptically, randomly wiped the corner of his mouth, perfectly avoiding the lipstick.
Betsy took a tissue from the coffee table and handed it to Jared as he approached.
