The next day, Betsy Russell was awakened by the doorbell outside her door. She got up and opened the door with a yawn, only to see Jared Hughes standing at the entrance, holding a keyboard.
Before Betsy could react, Jared walked in with the keyboard, closed the door behind him, put the keyboard on the ground, and knelt down in front of her without hesitation.
Betsy, still half-asleep, looked down at Jared Hughes kneeling on the ground, unable to figure out if she was still asleep or awake.
She pinched herself, causing her eyebrows to furrow in pain.
This isn't a dream?
Betsy looked at Jared's demeanor, and couldn't help but think of the time when Sir Hughes had forced her to kneel in the ancestral hall to apologize. She raised her eyebrows in confusion, looking at Jared, "Jared, have you gone crazy? Get up!"
Why would this man kneel on the keyboard without saying a word?
