Thad Drew's hands, naturally hanging by his sides, were clenched into fists, ready for combat. He stared coldly at Jared Hughes and asked, "Does Betsy Russell know you're coming?"
Without waiting for Jared Hughes to reply, Thad Drew's face broke into a bright smile, and he continued, "Do you not feel tired of pretending to be caring in front of Betsy and mimicking my past behavior?"
"Not tired," Jared Hughes replied bluntly, "Also, let me correct a mistake. I didn't learn from you; it's you who learned from me at first!"
"Oh, I almost forgot, during our time in Ponce City, Mr. Hughes was so gentle and tender towards Betsy," Thad Drew's lips curved into a bloodthirsty grin, and his eyes were filled with unmistakable coldness, "I didn't expect the ruthless Mr. Hughes to have such tender moments. I guess you must have forgotten your gentle side as well!"
