Jared Hughes cast his gaze upon Betsy Russell's face, whispering, "A long time ago, a young girl liked to order these two items at a place called Lotus Breakfast Shop."
Jared noticed Betsy because, even in the summer, she was the only one sitting there and eating enthusiastically.
He later tried it for himself, and found the taste to be quite good.
Betsy was slightly taken aback.
Lotus Breakfast Shop.
She used to frequent this place every morning back in junior high school, and sitting inside that shop, she could clearly see Jared getting off the car and entering the school.
Not only did that shop have her favorite food, but it also allowed her to see the person she yearned for most.
After all these years, Betsy hadn't expected Jared to have noticed her back then, and she hesitantly asked, "I thought you wouldn't notice me."
Jared chuckled quietly, and his tone was tinged with indulgence, "I actually noticed you a long time ago."
