"No need, I already called a taxi just now, thank you for your hospitality today." Betsy Russell smiled and said. She stepped back slightly when Thad Drew went to the entrance.
"I will take you home." Thad Drew lowered his head to put on his shoes, stammering a bit before finally getting them on.
What Thad meant by "take" was to take the taxi Betsy had called and ride with her back home rather than drive her himself.
Seeing that Thad was already drunk, Betsy initially wanted to refuse, but it seemed impolite to say anything when he was so insistent.
The taxi driver took Betsy to her apartment building, and when she got out of the car and saw Thad trying to leave too, she frowned imperceptibly.
"Mr. Drew, just take me here, you'd better go back now." Betsy stopped Thad from getting out of the car and closed the door without hesitation.
Betsy walked around to the passenger side and gestured for the taxi driver to lower his window.
