"Alright." Thad Drew replied with a smile.
Betsy Russell brought out the dishes, pretending to look at her phone. It seemed that Thad Drew had planned this hot pot meal ahead of time.
Thad placed an induction cooker on the table and then set the steaming hot pot on top of it.
He put vegetables into the pot first, followed by a few slices of beef that he swirled around, then scooped them out and placed them in Betsy's bowl. "I made this hot pot myself, I'm not sure if it suits your taste."
Betsy looked at Thad with a smile and said, "It's delicious."
Just then, the parrot on the balcony started squawking again.
"Thad Drew likes Betsy Russell!"
"Thad Drew likes Betsy Russell!"
"Do you like it too?" Thad looked intently at Betsy.
Betsy naturally understood the double entendre in Thad's words.
She raised her eyes and inadvertently met Thad's affectionate gaze. She quickly lowered her gaze and said, "Let's eat quickly, the meat won't taste good if it's cooked for too long!"
