Betsy Russell carried the warm water to the living room and sat down, about to take a sip when a strange voice suddenly rang out.
"Betsy Russell! Betsy Russell! Betsy Russell!"
The voice was somewhat high-pitched and had a peculiar tone.
Betsy Russell put the cup on the table and stood up to head towards the direction of the voice, but there was no one in sight.
"Betsy Russell! Betsy Russell!"
The strange voice sounded again.
Betsy Russell went to the balcony and saw a beautiful white parrot.
The white parrot flapped its wings, calling out, "Betsy Russell! Betsy Russell!"
Unable to hold back a smile, Betsy Russell thought the little parrot was really cute. Without asking, she knew that Thad Drew had taught it to speak.
She picked up the food nearby and offered it to the little parrot, curiously asking, "What else can you say?"
