Jared Hughes was drowning his sorrows with alcohol when a man approached and sat down next to him, "Hello, my name is Carl Eliot. I've long admired you, Mr. Hughes."
He had heard of the Eliot family before, but the Hughes family and the Eliot family had no business dealings. His gaze fell on Carl Eliot's face, and he asked, "Can I help you?"
Carl Eliot seemed undisturbed by Jared Hughes' indifference. He adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses and said, "I would like to discuss a cooperative venture with Mr. Hughes."
"Business matters can be discussed with my secretary." Jared Hughes replied coldly.
"It's a private cooperation." Carl Eliot added.
When Jared Hughes heard what Carl Eliot said, he took a sip of his wine before putting his glass down. He had no interest in the intrigues among the large families.
