After Betsy Russell cleaned up Vivian Turner, she wiped her hands with a tissue and headed toward the exit.
Heather Scott glanced at the others in the room and said coldly, "And you all, do you think Betsy has forgotten your past misdeeds? She's just been magnanimous and didn't want to hold you accountable. But if you insist on settling scores, I think she'd be more than happy to do so."
Betsy didn't even look at Jared Hughes when she walked past him.
Jared's eyes flickered, and he turned to Bill Treiber by the door, saying calmly, "Take care of the rest."
"Yes," Bill replied.
After Jared spoke, he quickly caught up with Betsy, who wasn't walking fast.
Seeing Jared coming over, Heather Scott rolled her eyes and said disdainfully, "Mr. Hughes, you're like gum right now. We can't seem to shake you off!"
Betsy lowered her eyes and whispered to Heather, "You go on to the parking lot first. I have a few things to say to him."
