"I was just joking." Thad Drew smiled as he looked at Betsy Russell and said.
Betsy took the water, took a sip, and finally recovered.
Fortunately, Thad didn't say anything more flirtatious, or she really wouldn't be able to handle it.
After dinner, Thad tactfully left.
Betsy was just wondering if she should find an excuse to leave, but when she saw Thad leaving, she smiled and walked him to the door.
Thad, who was standing in the hallway changing his shoes, glanced at Betsy and asked with a light chuckle, "Were you waiting for me to leave just now?"
Betsy smiled at Thad and replied, "Mr. Drew, some things are best left unsaid!"
Thad didn't expect Betsy to say it so bluntly, and followed up, "Be careful of Aegwynn Diven, she can't be trusted."
Betsy was slightly surprised. She didn't expect Thad to know about her meeting with Aegwynn. She laughed and said, "Thank you."
