Heather Scott thought of Thad Drew's earlier attempt to interrupt the wedding and looked at Betsy Russell with envy. She couldn't help but ask, "Shouldn't you be riding in Mr. Drew's car?"
"Why don't you go down and stop the journalists, so he can drive you?"
Heather Scott looked at Betsy Russell incredulously. She hadn't expected Betsy to say this.
She had grown up with Betsy and should be the one Betsy truly loved. Now, for Thad Drew, Betsy even expected her to stop the journalists.
Heather was about to protest, but more journalists came.
The most important thing now was to leave this place. Heather Scott stepped on the gas and drove away with Betsy.
When she left the hotel, she saw the journalists couldn't catch up and breathed a sigh of relief.
Heather Scott turned to look at Betsy and teased, "Betsy, do you want, to marry Mr. Drew right here and now?"
Betsy Russell looked out of the window, her mind full of the words Jared Hughes had mouthed on the stage.
