Slevin Russell and Evelyn Campbell had always doted on Betsy Russell. Even when Betsy made mistakes, they had never been harsh to her.
Betsy looked at the seriousness and worry on Slevin and Evelyn's faces, which was exactly the same as when she left the Russell family back then.
"Mom," Betsy had specifically come back today to explain this matter in person, "I came back this time to talk to you and dad face to face."
Slevin unconsciously tightened his grip on the teacup in his hand.
"I don't plan to remarry Jared Hughes, so you don't have to worry about it," Betsy said with a smile, "but we can still enjoy the wedding festivities."
Having been in the business world for a long time, Slevin understood Betsy's intentions immediately after hearing her explanation, and his expression softened, "Betsy, did you set a trap?"
