Having just woken up and washing her face, Betsy Russell suddenly heard her phone ringing. Seeing it was a call from Slevin Russell, she was a bit taken aback. She picked up and put it on speaker. "Dad?" she said.
From Betsy's sleepy voice, Slevin could tell she had just woken up. Only then did he remember, Betsy had been busy filming recently.
"Betsy, did Dad wake you?" Slevin felt a bit sorry for Betsy. His girl could have easily managed their family's wealth without needing to go through the toil of acting.
Betsy dried her face and smiled, "No, I just woke up and was about to head to the makeup room. Dad, is there something you need?"
Slevin Russell let out a small sigh of relief. This time, he had to make it clear to Betsy about Sir Hughes' trap. He couldn't just watch his naive daughter walk right into it.
