When Fanny Sabir married into the Hughes family years ago, she brought an abundant dowry, and Grandpa Hughes was pleased with the marriage.
Over the years, Jared's father, Ben Hughes, has had affairs with other women while Fanny stayed home, attending religious rites and leading a simple life. She would have been well-off even without the Hughes family.
