After the elevator door closed, Steward Martin approached Sir Hughes and gently said, "Sir, Miss Hughes will someday understand your well-intentions."
Hearing the steward's words and thinking of his plans, Sir Hughes smiled and nodded, "Indeed, she's young and doesn't comprehend my arrangements for her, but she will understand in the future."
Sir Hughes returned to sit on the couch and continued watching the stock market.
Steward Martin's attention was on the earpiece in his ear. His face slightly changed as he said with furrowed brows, "Sir, Mr. Jared Hughes has returned."
Sir Hughes' expression faltered, an almost invisible frown appearing on his face.
It seems Jared had guessed that it was his doing.
But in fact, he didn't do anything. He was more interested in hearing what Jared had to say.
Footsteps sounded from the doorway. Sir Hughes turned his head to see Jared walking in, his face gloomy.
