Steward Martin took out a check from his briefcase and said straightforwardly, "Miss Lindsey, Sir Hughes asked me to come here today."
Vicki Lindsey sat on another sofa, glanced at the check, and saw that the amount was enough for her to live a carefree life for the rest of her life.
She looked at Steward Martin with confusion and hesitated to ask, "What is Sir Hughes doing..."
"Don't be afraid, it's not anything bad." Steward Martin smiled gently, pushed the check towards Vicki, and said, "Before long, Mr. Jared Hughes will remarry Miss Russell."
The color drained from Vicki's face in an instant. She looked at Steward Martin in disbelief, her lips trembling slightly, trying to suppress the emotions inside her.
"Sir Hughes thinks that Miss Lindsey's presence in Onn will affect the relationship between Mr. Jared Hughes and Miss Russell," Steward Martin said firmly. "He hopes that you will leave the country soon."
