Thad Drew drowsily opened his eyes, seeing Betsy Russell before him, he instinctively held her tight.
"Stop." Betsy's face turned red, extending her hand to push him away.
Thad Drew quickly sobered up, he apologized, "I'm sorry, I thought, I thought I was dreaming."
Thad released his embrace, rubbed his temple and looked exhausted.
Betsy quickly stood up, swept her messy hair behind her ears, and softly said, "Um, the takeaway is here."
Thad hummed in acknowledgment, got up, and headed for the bathroom.
Betsy began to unpack the takeaway.
When Thad returned, he saw Betsy struggling with the knot on the takeout bag. He quickly stepped forward, "I'll handle this little thing."
Thad took the bag from Betsy, his slender fingers carefully untied the knot.
Betsy looked at Thad's graceful demeanor, a slight smile on her lips, and said, "You are really gentle."
"I am only gentle with you." Thad Drew glanced at Betsy Russell and said earnestly.
