Jared Hughes calmly looked at Sir Hughes, his mind racing. He thought that Sir Hughes wasn't truly remorseful and was only interested in Betsy Russell's background.
"What are your feelings towards Betsy Russell..." Sir Hughes weighed his words before continuing, "Do you have her in your heart?"
"That doesn't matter anymore." Jared neither admitted nor denied it; he just wanted to see what other tricks Sir Hughes had up his sleeve.
Upon hearing this, Sir Hughes almost spat out a mouthful of old blood and said somewhat speechlessly, "Let me ask you another question."
"Grandpa, what do you want to do?" Jared stared intently at Sir Hughes and went straight to the point, "Do you want me to remarry Betsy?"
