After Betsy finished speaking, her gaze landed back on Sir Hughes. She chuckled and asked, "Sir Hughes, I believe my two requests aren't too much, are they?"
Sir Hughes squinted his eyes, studying Betsy. Her requests were actually not unreasonable.
However, if Isa Hughes stepped forward to clarify things, it could cause a negative impact on her.
Sir Hughes pondered this but said nothing.
Upon hearing this, Isa's eyes filled with fury as she angrily turned to Betsy. She was about to respond, but then she saw Sir Hughes stand.
"Grandpa."
"Slap!"
An unmistakable imprint of a hand appeared on Isa's face. She looked at Sir Hughes in disbelief. Regardless of what she had done wrong in the past, her grandfather had never raised a hand to her.
Isa's eyes instantly reddened as tears began to fall one by one.
Betsy hadn't expected Sir Hughes to publicly slap Isa's face. She remained silent with a look of amusement, not interfering, but instead watching Isa with interest.
