Isa Hughes silently stood up, turned her head to the side, and unwillingly said, "Miss Russell, I'm sorry."
Betsy Russell smiled at Isa Hughes and softly said, "Miss Hughes, the last time you apologized to me, I had already decided to forgive you."
Isa Hughes looked back at Betsy Russell, not believing that she would be so agreeable.
"I originally invited you to have afternoon tea together today, but it seems like we won't have the chance to enjoy that cup of tea now." Betsy Russell said with a smile, watching Isa Hughes's nonchalant demeanor, as if she wanted to tear her apart on the spot.
Isa Hughes rolled her eyes at Betsy Russell, knowing that she wouldn't really forgive her after all.
"You're not sincerely apologizing, so I think it's better to let God decide whether to forgive you or not." Betsy Russell continued in a gentle tone, looking at Grandpa Hughes' face, "Sir Hughes, don't you think I'm right?"
