"What about Elly?"
Irys chuckles; she really wants to know about Liam's thoughts on her, not just out of jealousy.
Liam answers swiftly, "She is as important as my life, but you, Irys, are more than my life."
Irys' lips curl into a smile. "Since when did you become such a sweet talker, dear?"
"I'm serious, Irys. If it weren't for you, I'd still be chained by my past."
"I don't even know how I would have reacted when I found out the truth about my parents."
"Would I even have accepted them?"
Irys chuckles. "You would, dear. Otherwise, why would you be in your current situation?"
"With so many possibilities existing, and you dead in most of them, either backstabbed or sacrificing yourself."
"I've thought about it deeply, Irys. Am I really a person like that?"
"Then I realized I would do that, but not for a stranger."
'That just means in all those lives, I had someone precious. I do wonder who they were."
