As they walked through the new garden and past the tranquil artificial lake, Liam stopped in his tracks at the sight of his old, familiar home.
He mumbled, "Dead… she's really dead for real now."
Memories began to flood his mind as he walked, each step heavier than the last.
Elly looked at him, moving closer, wanting to hug Liam. Without looking back, Liam raised his hand, "Can you leave me alone for now, Elly?"
Elly looked at him, her fear growing that Liam might do something drastic in his emotional state.
