As night came, Liam sat on the terrace near the lake, with Elly sitting opposite him.
After they let Revena go, Liam became silent. His mind runs wild with possibilities.
Seeing his face, now seemingly calm, Elly asked, "Why did you let her go?"
Liam replied, "I don't fully understand it myself. Maybe it's because I pity her or because she was my mom's old friend. But deep down, I just didn't feel like killing her."
Elly felt curious and asked, "So you're just going to let her go?"
Liam shrugged, not caring what had happened to her now.
It was her life. For him, whatever happened to her in the past was already finished.
He then answered, "It doesn't matter anymore, Elly. I just need to meet my mother's family now. Then we can focus on more important problems."
Elly queried, "More important problems?"
