Liam then checked his messages on the Soul Gear.
Desmond: "Are you alright? I tried to look for you, but you were nowhere to be found. Madam told me you had already escaped."
Berto: "I am already at your tavern with Clara. Contact me when you're free; we need to talk."
Berto: "It's been three days without any news. Has something happened? "
"I saw a report about another building collapse. I hope you weren't involved. Anyway, Derek wanted me to tell you that he has become an Ascendant."
As Liam was about to reply to the messages, Elly entered the room, carrying a bowl of porridge in her hand.
"Take it easy for now," she said.
"Your body is still recovering from the shock. You've run out of energy, and you've lost your right hand." She then sat beside the bed and tried to feed Liam.
Liam grasped her hand, "I can eat by myself."
Elly responded, "Just let me help you. You only have one hand now."
