Elly's eyes widened in disbelief as the blaring alarms filled the room. "Why did you do that, Liam?"
Moments before, as Elly had urged Liam to escape, he had taken a step back to put some distance. But his thought is clear.
'No way I escape now. There's no growth without risk. I promised Irys I would be stronger than her when we meet again…'
'Trick, warn me if any danger comes close.'
Trick's replied, ''Roger that! I'll keep my digital eyes peeled.'
Liam then directed his focus inward to his energy cores.
As he did so, he reflected on his recent experiences.
'Before, I created arcane energy by fusing all elements I found.'
'But when I repaired the walls, the dust, the clay, the concrete tiles, I realized that all of them are forms of the earth element, each with different characteristics.'
'Some of these are impossible to merge. Therefore, the fusion shouldn't be about merging these characteristics.'
