"Explaining it will be Berto's job. But don't you find this entire situation weird, Elly? That man most likely struck a deal, giving a location for human experiments in return for their help."
Elly's response was pragmatic. "What's so strange about that? They both have needs and use each other to fulfill them."
Liam pondered her words, his expression contemplative. "But why target Berto's family? From what I've gathered, they're not a major power. "
"If it's about scale, wouldn't it be more strategic to align with a more influential family? Also, setting up an operation like this in the heart of the city seems counterintuitive."
