Elly met his glare with a cheeky grin. "Well, you left me little choice by not acknowledging my role. If I'm not your personal maid, then what reason would I have to trail behind you constantly?"
She paused, letting the implication hang in the air, her smirk widening. "Unless, of course, you'd prefer to introduce me as your mistress."
Liam exhaled deeply, clearly exasperated. "Fine, if you're so insistent on being called my maid, then so be it. But refrain from doing such things in the future."
