Elly responded with calm assurance. "By then, you'll be free to make your own choices. If you desire to leave or even to end my life, I won't resist."
A pause settled between them before Liam's curiosity surfaced once more. "What level are you currently?"
"Level 5," Elly confirmed
Liam's interest was piqued. "So you're nearing the Celestial tier?"
Elly elaborated, "Levels 1 through 3 classify one as an ascendant. Levels 4 through 6 belong to the neophytes. Celestials are those who have reached level 7."
"I'm barely past the threshold into level 5."
Liam probed further, "Is there a rank beyond level 7?"
Elly shook her head slightly, her expression contemplative. "Not that I'm aware of. Such things are beyond our reach anyway. It's better to just concentrate on our current levels."
