Liam began by taking the core from Blaze. The core looked like a small, molten orb, almost as if a miniature sun had been trapped inside a translucent crystal.
It radiated a warm, orange-red glow, with fiery tendrils that seemed to dance within its confines. Holding it between his thumb and forefinger, he closed his eyes and began channeling his own energy towards it.
As he did so, he could feel the energy within the core resisting, pushing back against his own power. It was like trying to tame a wild stallion - a battle of wills.
But with each passing second, Liam's own energy began to overpower the core's defenses. A sensation of warmth spread from the point of contact up his arm.
Inside Liam, particles of the flame energy seemed to come alive, blazing like tiny stars as they spiraled toward his core. The radiant streams of energy twisted and twined, following the pathways of his internal channels.
