Her voice was loud enough for everyone to hear.

Yvonne Young rolled her eyes silently and responded patiently, "Took a cab."

The female colleague smiled and said, "My husband drove me here. He just got a new Aurora, and he's quite proud of it."
People nearby who knew her chimed in with blessings, "Your husband is so capable, I wouldn't go to work if I were you."
Feeling a bit embarrassed, the female colleague replied, "Oh, it's quite boring not to work. A woman should be more independent."
"I heard your husband is a University Professor, young and successful, isn't that good too?"
"The income isn't that great."
And so the reciprocal praise began.
