"What did they tell you?"
A cold breeze started covering up the place as the moon showed up. It's been some hours since she talked to the clan, however, she still doesn't know how to react to what they told her.
It's still bothering her until now.
"I don't know, I did not understand it."
"Being with you for so long doesn't make me a fool. I know you are hiding it." Aurelia said sarcastically but with full confidence, she knew it was going to be hard pursuing her. However, still AB remained quiet.
"You need to rest now, you are ordered to go on a mission tomorrow morning." AB told Aurelia who just sighed, she understands that no matter what she does, AB would not tell her anything.
"We will talk tomorrow." There's a sound of disappointment in her voice but AB ignored it.
When Aurelia was finally out of her sight, she sighed and looked at the city lights. She is now on the cliff where she started thinking about what the clan wants her to do.
And what she can't understand is why her mother already collaborated with them. And they even haven't suspected her for anything, how can she fool those people? She was asking herself the whole day.
'You need to go and do what they told you. Don't think of doing anything else brat, or the whole tribe will get its final breath. Don't make us dig our own grave, Adnil.'
Her mother's words started filling her up. She knew something was not right from the very start. And why the clan agreed to do such a big mission. Sacred Moon Jade is a powerful thing, and she has no idea where to find it. No one knows after that battle years ago.
Thinking that she needs to get involved in the human world to look for nothing is not what she thought of doing from the very start. She doesn't desire to live with those normal people, it will delay her from going inside the palace.
"This isn't right." She told herself.
"What is not right, then?" A voice asked her.
"Nothing, Culton. Why are you here?" She asked the man who just came, perhaps she's hoping it was Damien since she has something to discuss with him.
"Because you are here. I don't want to just sit there and miss the colorful and exciting part in your life, well you know me," Culton said and winked at her, he has that irritating expression on his face that AB doesn't want to see in times like this.
"If colors are just black and white then my life will be a rainbow, I guess." AB replied without remorse.
Thinking that her once safe place isn't safe anymore.
"Yeah. So what about it?" Asked Culton. Unlike Aurelia who she can just push away, Culton is not that type, he will do his way to find it out anyway. The ways people could ever imagine. That's his weapon since then.
"I will tell you once I talk to him, I need his help." AB replied to Culton.
Culton's expression began to harden. It's not what he was expecting to hear from her. "Damien, isn't it? You should keep your distance far from him, you know that. He is dangerous, for you, for us and for our tribe," he complained.
"He is not. I knew him more than you do, let's not make this a big deal. I know you understand me." AB stated as she looked at him straight in the eyes.
"I will never understand why you still have a connection with that bastard, he isn't even worth it." That was the last thing she heard from Culton before it sighed and walked away, turning his back at her.
AB stood there and clenched her fist. She was hoping Culton won't say anything to anyone until her mission is over.

"I am ready." AB's words rang the bell in her mother's ear, making her grin.
"That's the best you can do, of course. You need to do that for the tribe" Fringilla, her mother stood up on her favorite seat inside their hut and walked towards her, touching her shoulders from her back, looking at the mirror. "I know you have made up your mind and I will declare it to the people soon. Bring that man's head," she stopped from a moment trying to reminisce about the war that happened many years ago and how a man took advantage of it to get the Sacred Moon Jade. "It will bring us something we ever dreamed of. We can make this whole monarchy ours," the last words from her mother seem like a whisper that doesn't want to be heard by anyone but the two of them.
"Your desires, not mine," she replied as she walked away from her. She faced her without any emotions on her face. "But I will do it for our people."
Fringilla smirked, "Better then, go now and prepare," then left her standing.
"So you're leaving? Us? Without even telling anything?" AB flinched a little when she heard someone inside her own room while she's preparing her things.
"What are you doing here?" AB asked, unbothered. She knows it will happen, they will know it eventually even though she doesn't have any plan to tell.
"I was trying to save my life with this stingy rotten vase to hide myself and wait for you until you arrive here, do you think I will not hear you from the outside?" Aurelia asked, smelling herself. "Why don't you put this away, by the way?" Pertaining to the vase in her room.
"That's where I put the heads of animals, you know, midnight snacks."
And because of what she heard, she almost vomited. "You are just joking right?"
"I'm not."
"Well, that's very disgusting but going back, why didn't you tell us?" Aurelia asked with a serious face.
AB faced her, "because no one can stop this from happening."
Their attention averted to the other side of the room when someone showed up.
"I can."
"Who are you?!"
