Rachelle was inside the carriage. Her dress was filled with dirt and mud, it's as if she participated in a knight's training. Even her hair has twigs and leaves from crawling out from the bush.
If it's not for the Pope then she would've done it more gracefully than ever. Now, she looks like an abandoned noble from some random countryside nobles who decided not to make her go back to their humble home.
But wasn't she abandoned before? Therefore she had experienced being abandoned.
Upon trying to make herself look more elegant once again by removing the twigs and leaves on her hair and rubbing off the mud out of her dress, she then glanced at the ruby that she took instead of returning it to the statue.
There was something about the ruby that made her remember that one dream of hers which the Noctua said that it's a vision pertaining to events related to her. The ruby came out of her heart as she stabbed herself with the sword but now, the ruby fell in her head.
But what's the actual purpose of the ruby?
Rachelle started to brainstorm about why there was a ruby in her dreams that she needed to collect. What's with the ruby that made her instantly pick it up without returning it? Why is there something magical about the ruby that she couldn't figure out?
She was filled with unanswered questions inside her head about the purpose of the ruby. She stared at it for longer, thinking about what's the relation between the ruby and the sword.
Mentioning the sword, her eyes then shifted to the ring on her fingers, trying to assess how she could transform it back from being a sword. She was really surprised when the sword suddenly turned into a ring and embraced her ring finger as if it were normal.
If the priests weren't there, she would have yelled in surprise as it suddenly placed itself right in her fingers. To think that she's still not open about magic and stuff but is very comfortable with her life right now.
"Abracadabra!" She exclaimed, using the spell she once heard from the television but it didn't transform back. Her eyebrows met each other, connected as she tried to use another name again for the ring to turn back into a sword.
"Bibbidi bobbity boo!" She tried once again but it did not affect the ring, making her frown even more. What's with the sword and it's not turning back into a sword?
"Kaboosh! Gosh, I'm making myself stupid here just for this stupid ring!" She said, giving up as she only realised that it was making her look ridiculous. If the coachman could hear her, he would be laughing hard to hear her uttering whimsical words that don't even make sense.
She sighed and decided to take off the ring around her finger and as soon as she pulled the ring off her hand, the ring suddenly transformed into a sword that made her let out a yelp in surprise, didn't expect that it was just that easy for her to transform the sword.
"Good heavens! What the hell! Shit!" She cussed as the sword almost hit her toes. Good thing she immediately controlled it, lifting the sword, not wanting for the carriage to be torn apart after watching what happened earlier when she sliced the boulder in half.
"How to turn this back into a ring?" She asked herself. She had now discovered how to turn the ring into a sword by simply removing it from her hand. But how can she turn back the sword into a ring?
"Alakazam! No? Then Hocus Pocus turn into a ring!" She exclaimed like a witch with matching hand action that made her look stupid once again. Clearly, those spells aren't working here, why is she still expecting that one of those will turn the sword back into a ring?
Just then, the sword then turns into a ring just as she was wondering how to return it from being a ring. The sword reverted back to being a ring, placing itself on her finger as if nothing happened.
Rachelle could feel her nerves throbbing hard, like every vein inside her was irritated at how complicated it was to figure out how to turn the sword into a ring and vice versa. It works by removing the ring and then thinking about the sword turning into a ring, how complicated!
She sighed, now that she had figured out how the ring would transform and revert, the only question she had left right now was the purpose of the ruby gem. But even if she brainstormed herself and thought of something else, she couldn't formulate the conclusion.
After all, there are several factors as to why she couldn't think of anything. It must be because the novel didn't mention this, she's slowly losing the whole ordeal of the book, and third, there's still mystery covering the whole place as she had yet to set foot outside other than the church and their house.
It was already afternoon when she reached the house. It was a long tiring ride in the carriage, she could feel her ass cheeks melted during her entire ride as the only thing she could do there was to sit and stare at nature which is boring.
She was assisted, walking outside of the carriage. Her every muscle and bone were so stiff that she grunted like an old lady, walking out of the carriage and continuing herself to their mansion.
She felt like all the situations that happened today were making her feel very exhausted, especially since it had been a wild ride just for a sword. Wow, it was like years even though she was only riding the carriage for like 2-4 hours.
"You're home—what the hell happened to you?" Alexander asked after seeing what Felicia looked like. She really looked abandoned at this point and Rachelle could understand what he thought since it was reflected in his face.
"I was abandoned." She thought to herself and sighed. It's time to make up some excuses for this persistent and annoying brother of hers to shut his mouth and stop asking her questions about what she did.
"I fell because some noble women pranked me so I ended up falling over dirt and some mud and they left me while there laughing." She said with a fake tear to appear vet pitiful in his eyes.
If Helena can do it moderately, then she knows how to do it perfectly like an actress. Maybe Helena needs to live where she was living back then, it might help her improve her acting skills.
Although should Rachelle be thankful to that damn old fat lady that killed her just because she couldn't pay her rent on time?
"Who are they? Tell me their names." Alexander asked while his face darkened once again. How dare they trip and play pranks on Felicia even though her position is much more dignified than their position?!
"I don't know their names... I didn't experience any debuts after all... how will I know their names?" She asked back with a hint of sassiness and guilt tripping him. It's normal for her to treat him this way, after all, isn't he the one who turned his back against her?
"... then you'll have one." He said and turned his back on her making Rachelle feel very rude. Is this how conversations should end? By turning their backs around her when the conversation is still happening? How rude!
"Have dinner after you're done taking a bath. Let's talk about it during dinner." Alexander said, waving his hand as he disappeared in her eyes. That damn brute, if only she wasn't planning to manipulate him, she would've been strike him with the sword.
She sighed and decided to let it be. Rachelle started to go back to her room, thinking about nothing else but a warm bath with lavender-scented bubbles and soap. There's nothing more amazing than taking a hot bath after a ruckus.
As she was walking towards her room, she couldn't help but notice that Helena was looking at her at the end of the hall where her room was located. It's as if she has been waiting for her arrival ever since.
She let out a silent groan, thinking about what the hell does she want once again as she was already tired because of what happened earlier and she was trying to ruin her mood once again. Can't she have some rest before fighting once again?
Can't a villainess deserve a rest after a long day?!
"Sister..." Helena called her as she reached the door to her room. Rachelle wanted to give her a bitchy look but that would only worsen their interaction since it's no longer new to her if Helena calls Tyren and complains about how rude her behaviour is. Not that she cares about it at all.
"What is it? Speak now." Felicia said in a tired tone, leaning on her door while staring at Helena blankly. To attain a luxurious hot bath, she still has to face one major thing and that is to listen to Helena's bullshits once again.
"I know that the two of you, the crown prince and you are engaged... but it doesn't change the fact that the Crown Prince loves me more than anything! He loves me more than you! So please, give him up because you do not deserve him!" She suddenly exclaimed, crying that made Rachelle frown.
"Now what the hell is she rambling about?" She thought to herself as she was quite taken aback by her words. What does she mean by that?!
