"Look at you, getting all ready to go on a date. I never thought I would see you dressing up like this." Saloni, my younger sister said teasingly.
Obviously I can't hide this matter from her. In fact it was her who realized before me.
"I am not going on a date, and stop saying that, and it's not like I am dressing up for the first time." She would say anything in order to tease me.
"It might not be the first time, but you rarely put make up unless it's a special occasion." She was not lying exactly, but I spent my most of the time in clinic, so I rarely put make up unless I am going out. She is still exaggerating.
"Will you stop? I am just having dinner with his friends."
Before she could continue teasing me my phone rang. I heaved a sigh of relief. She is six years younger than me. I can't scold her because she is also like my daughter whom I have brought up, and she takes advantage of that fact the most.
"It's jiju." Saloni said.
I am speechless. She reached for my phone faster than me.
"Stop calling him that." I gestured her with my eyes to stay quiet as I picked up the call.
She rolled her eyes but still didn't speak anything.
"I sent you the location of the restaurant. Do you want me to pick you up?" Kabir said.
"No, you stay with your friends, I will come by myself." I hung up the phone after saying that.
He will have to come in the opposite direction to pick me up. Even though I am familiar with his friends, I will still feel embarrassing if he made everyone come here.
"Tsk tsk… He was offering to pick you up and you rejected him. Poor jiju he must be very sad right now."
I rolled my eyes at her words. As if. I would be over the clouds if that happened.
"Can you stop calling him that? We are not dating." I don't have any problem in her saying that, but I know her very well I am just worried she would blurt that out in front of him.
"Understood!" She nodded her head like an obedient child but I could tell from her expression that she just ignored my words.
What to do? Seems like I have spoiled her too much.
"I think you wasted your degree in architecture." I said to her while spraying the perfume.
"Huh?" She looked at me with confusion.
"You are such a good actor. It's a loss for the acting industry." I said sarcastically.
"Oh C'mon now you are flattering me. I am not that good." I am speechless.
"I will deal with you later." I said before I started leaving.
"Lock the door, if it's dad than he already has the key. So, you don't need to open it for anyone. And finish those snacks first before daring to order take out. Got it?" Then I started giving her instructions like always.
"Yes Boss!" she gave me a salute.
Even when I said all of that she is not going to listen to me at all. She will do what she wants.
"I think since you are going to meet Jiju then you need to think about him instead of worrying about me." Before I could register her words she closed the door behind me.
I shook my head helplessly and walked towards my car.
