Chapter 2 - Kumalasari

With a disorganized face, Dedi sat on the sofa in the salon's waiting area parallel to the entrance and exit. His face seemed to express nothing as his eyes looked at the wall of the salon without blinking. As Kartika was busy working in front of the computer at the cashier's desk, she did not notice that there was quite a noticeable change in Dedi's behavior.

Dedi left the salon room without Kartika knowing. He strides stiffly and unblinkingly as he enters the highway, until he finally stops near a group of motorcycle delivery services who are relaxing in a small stall.

Dedi handed a small piece of paper containing his home address to a young man wearing a green jacket. Afterwards, the young man asked Dedi, "Is this your home address, Mas?"

"Yes," Dedi said quickly, his face not showing any expression, and his eyes not blinking at all.

The young man did not see Dedi's strange behavior, he immediately stood up and gave Dedi a helmet and a piece of address paper. After that, the young man invited Dedi to ride on the back of the motorcycle. Dedi sat on the back while holding the back of the motorcycle and in no time the young man was driving the motorcycle away from the shop to the destination Dedi had told him about.

North Jakarta.

The vehicle stopped right in front of the gate, Dedi got off the vehicle while removing his helmet and returning it to the owner of the vehicle. In a flat voice, Dedi asked, "Mas, how much should I pay?".

"Fifty-thousand-rupiah, Mas." The young man replied while hanging up his helmet.

Dedi immediately responded by taking fifty thousand rupiah from his bag, "Here, Mas, thank you." Dedi said and immediately left without waiting for a response from the young man.

A house guard noticed Dedi's presence, "Mr. Chandra? That young man looks like Mr. Chandra, maybe Dedi is Mr. Chandra's son." Said the guard named Toto.

"Good afternoon Mr. Toto, I'm Dedi." Dedi said in a flat voice.

Mr. Toto did not feel suspicious why Dedi could recognize his name. "I knew it from the beginning, it must be Mr. Dedi. Please come in," said Mr. Toto as he opened the gate. Dedi entered and stopped in front of the guard post while waiting for Pak Toto to close the gate.

Mr. Toto immediately entered the guard post and in a short time he came out and gave the house key to Dedi. Mr. Toto said with a big smile, "We have been waiting for Mr. Dedi for years, Mr. Bambang must be very happy to hear that Mr. Dedi has arrived at this house."

"Mr. Toto, tell Mr. Bambang that I have arrived," said Pak Dedi. Mr. Toto was surprised to hear that and asked Mr. Dedi, "Is Mr. Dedi not aware that Mr. Bambang is Mr. Dedi's great-grandfather?" with an astonished look on his face.

"Please call my great-grandfather, Mr. Toto," Dedi pleaded once again, and Mr. Toto's previously tense face began to loosen up after hearing Dedi's correct response.

Dedi quickly left the guard post and walked into the yard, where he stopped at a well-maintained garden.

"This is the place where all Mama's suffering began," Dedi said, but it was not Dedi's voice that was heard, but a soft female voice that was very similar to that of Kumalasari, Romeo's mother.

Dedi gazed intently at the magnificent three-story house. It was clear that the paint on the walls was fresh and looked like it had been recently renovated by the owner.

"Let's start by taking all of Bambang's assets." Kumalasari said this from inside Dedi's bag.

Dedi remained silent, his expression still as stiff as when he left the salon, and then he entered the terrace of the house with striding steps.

When Dedi opened his door, a very bright light shone in his eyes until he blinked rapidly. When the glare disappeared, he saw a beautiful 28-year-old woman standing there with a sweet smile. This girl was the spirit of Kumalasari, who greeted Dedi with, "Welcome, my son."

"Oh my, Mama!" exclaimed Dedi, regaining consciousness after hours of being possessed by the Kumalasari spirit. He looked around the house and walked back to the terrace.

"Where am I?" Dedi asked Kumalasari.

Kumalasari sat on the guest sofa and said, "You have arrived at the starting point where a bitter event occurred."

Dedi looked into the garden, and she saw Mr. Toto on the phone using his smartphone. "This house is so luxurious, but the owner has a heart of trash!" exclaimed Dedi with a snarling face after realizing that she was in her own grandfather's house.

"Dedi, please come inside. Please close the door; ma'am can't stand the sun." Kumalasari said as she moved her hand towards Dedi, who was on the porch, and Dedi immediately entered the house and locked the door.

"Sit down." Kumalasari said, and Dedi then sat next to her.

"Close your eyes," Kumalasari said to Dedi, and then Dedi followed his mother's instructions by closing his eyes with both lids. Then Kumalasari breathed light powder into Dedi's eyes, causing both eyes to be covered by a layer of powder and slowly fused with the powder.

"Now it can be opened." Kumalasari said, and Dedi's face looked confused, "How come it's night?" asked Dedi, looking around the house with the lights on brightly.

Kumalasari just smiled at the expression on Dedi's face and stood up, "Ting-Tong!" Suddenly the sound of the house bell rang, and Dedi spontaneously looked towards the door while hearing the sound of the dawn call to prayer at the same time.

"Mom!" Dedi shouted when he saw Kumalasari, who was still small, running past him to the door of the house. He opened the door of the house.

"So slow to open the door!" snapped a young man named Chandra as the door opened.

"Hey! Don't yell at my mom!" exclaimed Dedi, but Dedi's voice was not heard by the people around him. Kumalasari stood with a pale expression and covered her nose as Chandra scolded her.

"Mr. Chandra is drunk." Kumalasari thought to herself, and Dedi approached her while whispering, "Run quickly; he has bad intentions towards you." However, Kumalasari did not realize or see the existence of Dedi, who was next to her.

Kumalasari decided to leave Chandra, who was walking unsteadily behind her. Dedi followed them and noticed Chandra, who kept looking at Kumalasari's buttocks.

Dedi then tried to push Chandra, but it didn't work; instead, Dedi's body penetrated Chandra's body.

"Hey maid! You have a nice body; can I try a little?" Chandra exclaimed, but Kumalasari did not hear her because she had rushed to the kitchen. Instead, Dedi heard it clearly, making her face red with anger.

Dedi shouted angrily, but again, her voice was not heard by him.

Chandra looked relaxed while holding her chin, and she walked after Kumalasari. "Haha... apparently she wants to sleep." Chandra spoke in a low voice as she saw Kumalasari at the door to her room.

"Maid!" Called Chandra.

Kumalasari reluctantly opened the bedroom door and slowly averted her eyes. She noticed Chandra's arrogant attitude staring at her with his bloodshot eyes and lips etched with a sardonic smile.

"What's wrong, Mas Chandra?" asked Kumalasari politely. Dedi tried to block Chandra by standing between the two of them, but they were unaware of Dedi's presence.

"You clean my room, Quick!" snapped Chandra with a very sharp glare to reinforce her dominance over Kumalasari and make her give in.

Kumalasari looked at the hands of the clock on the wall and said, "It is time for the morning prayer."

"It has nothing to do with cleaning my room!" shouted Chandra.

Kumalasari once again tried to gently ask Chandra, "Can I finish the morning prayer, Mas?"

"Just go in, Ma! Don't care about this cursed human!" exclaimed Dedi, but his voice was inaudible to both of them.

Chandra looked at Kumalasari's face angrily and said, "You have a lot of attitudes!" Chandra snapped, his big hand immediately pulling Kumalasari's hand to follow him into his room.

"Ouch, it hurts, Mas!" Kumalasari squealed.

"Hey! Let go of my mama!" snapped Dedi as he tried to help Kumalasari get free from Chandra, but his efforts were in vain; he only reached for empty air.

"Mas, I haven't taken the broom yet." Kumalasari said, holding her hand against the door frame.

"Come in!" yelled Chandra as she pulled Kumalasari's hand as hard as she could, causing her to fall to the floor of the room. Chandra smiled without a trace of compassion in her heart as she quickly secured the door lock.

In deep confusion, Dedi fell to the floor, clutching her own hair tightly. Unstoppable tears streamed down her face as she felt helpless to help her mother, who was being tortured, but had to witness her mother's suffering with her own eyes.

Chandra approached Kumalasari, who was already helpless, then lifted her tiny body without any significant resistance and then threw her body onto the bed.

"Mas Chandra!" Kumalasari screamed.

Without any sympathy, Chandra, who had strong hands, stopped Kumalasari's voice by squeezing her mouth, leaving only her beautiful eyes to witness Chandra's cruel actions as he attacked her like a ferocious animal.

Dedi screamed at the top of her lungs, "Stop it, you bastard!" but his screams could not stop the red patches running down between Kumalasari's legs. The red spot that had destroyed her life and her future

Chandra lay down with a satisfied look on his face, and Kumalasari quickly grabbed her clothes and ran to the door of the room, crying.

Her hands shook violently as she unlocked the room from the physical and psychological pain. Kumalasari managed to get out of Chandra's room, and suddenly the room became pitch black.

Dedi's eyebrows jerked upwards, and she immediately got up from the floor. She saw that the room had no furniture at all. "You have seen it yourself; please pay for this pain," said Kumalasari's spirit while holding Dedi's hand and inviting him out of the room. Not having time to answer, Dedi was again confused by the state of the house and returned to the way he came.

Kumalasari played a movie of a different nature with the aim of making Dedi feel strong emotions and feel the pain he was suffering at that time.
