Ahahaha.... Teasing Alice is kinda fun.

Staring at the iron bar that separates me from the knights outside, I laughed at my pitiful self awkwardly.

Earlier, after I said those words, one of the knights knocked me out from behind. Because I had totally forgotten that I was handcuffed with an anti magic property, I wasn't able to activate my ability, [Obsidian Body], to prepare myself.

However, teasing her made it worth it though. I didn't regret it.

Still... My neck hurts badly from being smacked by a metal.

My rubbing my nape, I leaned my back to the wall behind me.

"It's not like I'm planning to stay here for a day anyway..."

I need to escape later.

"...Yuki."

For that to happen, I need to her to her.

Odium could be seen walking around the city. Her expression look contorted as she wandered around in attempt to find someone.

"Leader... Where are you?" She mumbled under her breath as Odium slipped inside the crowded area.

It hasn't been a while since Occiditis had gone missing.

It was around yesterday afternoon when she and Occiditis parted their ways. She went back to the mansion to check on the three children, while Occiditis remained in the city.

Occiditis said that she will be taking in some air before coming back quickly, but instead, she never came back that night.

Did something happened to her?

Odium couldn't help but ponder of the possibilities. Then she suddenly remembered something about her past, her complexion turning pale.

"That couldn't have been the case, ain't it?"

The demoness...

"Did she found her?"

No matter her opponents is, Odium was confident enough that Occiditis could beat almost every enemies that would attack her.

This, of course, exclude the demoness herself.

Odium stopped her track and promptly turned around. Her feet took a step before running forward, ignoring the people she bumped with.

"I need to inform the others about this...!"

I can't afford to be late.

Their lives is in danger!

Just when she was about to exit the walls and head back to the mansion, she suddenly heard a loud explosion from the distance.

The explosion prompted her for a stop as her eyes landed on the mansion from the distance.

Her heart started beating rapidly as her body, including her face began to sweat. Odium's vision began to turn dark in fear as memories of her past began flooding back in less than a second.

Her fear...

Her trauma...

And all the emotions that she had been bottling inside her heart...

It was coming out in that very moment.

"Everyone!"

However, she remain firm.

She can't afford to lose anyone again.

No... She must never lose anyone AGAIN.

As her whole muscles began to turn stiff, Odium raised both her hands to slap her cheeks. Though it left a mark on her face, it helped her heart calm down.

"The Contractor trusted us with protecting their children no matter the cost."

Fortunately, Solis and Reaper was not with her. She can stop holding back.

"I need to save them first."

I can worry about other things later.

In a blink of an eye, Odium disappeared from her place and left a huge creater beneath her feet.
