"She has a fever?"
That would pose as a problem...
Since Reaper's horse got eaten by the monster and the other horse that Solis used had ran away earlier, the only horse we have right now is mine.
Upon waking up earlier, Solid informed me that Reaper got fever. I'm having a feeling that it might be because of what happened to her yesterday.
"Contractor... Can you please take care of her while I head to the nearby town to buy some medicine?" Solis asked, scratching the side of her cheeks before fiddling her fingers with each other.
Confused, I couldn't help but ask, "...Didn't we prepared some stuff before we left?"
"About that..."
Her hesitant reply told me everything. Almost all the essential stuff were being carried by her horse; the moment it ran away, we lost almost everything.
Fortunately, if it wasn't for the fact that I decided to split some of the items and carry some of them on my horse, we wouldn't have been able to use and set up the tent.
"Please... Contractor, I promise that I'll be back quick in a few hours."
Left with no other option, I resigned myself to the situation. She's strong and independent enough to handle herself alone. I'm sure that nothing bad will happen to her on the way.
Although I could suggest going to the nearby town myself, my guts was practically screaming to stay here with Reaper for some reason... Not sure why, but it was a similar intuition to the one that had warned me away from certain obsessed individuals back on Earth.
Possibly, Eveline might be the woman my guts was warning me about...
After a while, Solis left me alone to tend to Reaper's wounds.
As I lifted her foot to start cleaning, I glanced up at Reaper, feeling weary.
"I'm just going to clean and sanitize the wound like what Solis did yesterday... Don't go calling me a pervert, okay?" I said, sounding a bit awkward.
"...Why would I call my savior a pervert?" Reaper replied, her voice soft but sincere.
Damn... At this point, I'm going to cry....
I couldn't help but feel touched by her words. "Please, stay like that forever," I murmured quietly, almost to myself. Reaper seemed puzzled but didn't press further, clutching the blanket tightly as I began sanitizing her wounds with alcohol.
"It stings," she whispered, her eyes welling up with tears.
"...ah..."
Her grip released it's strength as soon as I finished wrapping the new bandage to cover her wounds up.
Although this may be a form of a strange erotism, the burned scars on her skin was a real turn off. It wasn't that I disliked people with scars, but witnessing their healing process made me feel uneasy.
Just hearing the crispy sound of the skin releasing as it heals... Ugh, disgusting~
To be honest, I miss the normal healing method; the one where we just let the wounds be and let them healed on their own, instead of using potions.
Healing and rejuvenating potions... Yes, they're both useful, but not for everyone.
Lost in my thoughts, I suddenly felt Reaper's hand weakly grasp mine as she closed her eyes.
"Ah..."
Reaper is so cute when she's silent...
I know I shouldn't be wishing this, but please stay like that... forever.
"....!!?"
While I was silently praying to whoever can hear me from above, my peaceful moment was abruptly interrupted when I noticed something bright from the corner of my eye, coming from beneath her skirt.
"...Fuck?"
She wasn't wearing anything underneath.
Feeling flustered, I quickly looked away and cleared my throat to compose myself. Glancing back at her, I saw that she had fallen asleep, leaning against a pillow.
"Good grief... If I'm a normal person, I might have done something to you."
...Wait, even a normal person wouldn't do such thing, unless that person is a pervert. Even in that hypothetical scenario, I wouldn't have crossed that line.
However, I'm not taking back what I said.
Covering her underneath with a blanket, I repeated my wish out loud.
"Please stay like that..."

(Otuko POV)
After Saber and the others left yesterday, the day unfolded without any notable events.
Currently, I decided to take a stroll. I hadn't ventured beyond the mansion since arriving in this city, and I figured it was time to gather more information about this new world.
Saber, or the man who had possessed his body, mentioned something about this world being part of an adult novel... With an NTR , he said.
I wasn't familiar with the NTR tag he referred to, as in my world, creating or consuming content with NTR themes was strictly forbidden.
People caught engaging with such material were subject to severe punishment, as I had seen in a museum painting depicting five individuals being hanged, while the others are staked to death for writing an NTR novel... But was NTR really that terrible?
"It's very unlikely NTR exists in this world... Still, if it does, I might as well read it," I muttered to myself, settling comfortably on a wooden bench. Lazily observing my surroundings, I noticed a happy family walking by.
The father held their child's hand, picking out snacks, while the mother conversed with the child about dinner options. It was a scene of familial bliss.
They were one happy family.
"God, they're making me feel envious," I remarked, gazing up at the sky, relishing the gentle breeze rustling through the trees. It was a rare moment of leisure since arriving in this world.
It had only been two weeks since I came to this world, huh...
And yet, in that short time, I had experienced more than I could have imagined back in my old world.
Ever since the Great Apocalypse ravaged our planet a few years ago back when I was still studying in the academy, my life had been consumed by endless work from 9:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the evening.
I wonder how my friends are doing back there...? I hope they managed to clear the towers before the Parallels come to the planet.
If only I can go back right now...
Suddenly, a wave of heat washed over my lower body, and my vision grew hazy.
"...This fucking curse."
My body is feeling it again.
