Chapter 11 - Let's Learn The Power of Magic! (2)

"I'm up!"

After I roused from my slumber, I rose to my feet and proceeded to stretch my weary limbs.

"Ah... Uh?"

Noticing the pronounced bulge in my pants, I hesitantly pulled my pants to take a closer look at the monster hidden inside.... Which, ultimately, led to my day getting ruined.

"Well, isn't this just a splendid way to start the day... Damn it." I muttered with exasperation.

Examining it for a few seconds, I couldn't help but recall the first time I had seen the impressive sight. Well, technically, my first encounter with Saber's extraordinary sword did cause a huge damage against my pride.

'What in the tyrannosaurus d*ck is this...? Saber's d*ck is on another level!'

Out of sheer curiosity, I resorted to using my sword as an impromptu measuring tool, and boy, was I flabbergasted by its substantial length.

My own pride... my ego took a bit of a hit... I mean, I always thought mine was noteworthy, measuring about 9 inches in length. But now, it turns out Saber's T-Rex towered over mine by a whole three inches, akin to a true masterpiece of pleasure!

With a mix of resignation and humor, I leaned against a tree and lightly slapped my forehead in disbelief.

'Why of all people....? If only he had the guts to sleep with someone, I'm sure that girl will choose to stand by his side forever.'

Back to the present.

"Aaaaaah!!!" I released a scream of utter frustration, my voice echoing through the surrounding landscape.

Well, there it was, the perfect depiction of Saber, complete with a flawless visage and, well, a rather generously proportioned 'd*ck'. It seemed like the author spared no expense in crafting his appearance, leaving him with virtually no flaws. It's quite the package, I must admit... if only he hadn't lost his confidence along the way.

Ironically, it was his lack of self-assuredness that paved the way for the unfortunate series of events. The scene was set for the infamous 'NTR' scenario, where Saber found himself on the unfortunate receiving end of party shuffling, both by his former companions and then again by the subsequent group.

"Author... I'm sorely tempted to give you a piece of my mind right now!"

Seriously, I mean, who does this guy think he is, subjecting the original owner of this body to such torment? Among all the traits and qualities that could have take, it was Saber's confidence that got snatched away. Well, I've made up my mind. It's simply unforgivable, and I'm making a vow to myself.

"If I fate ever brings me a chance to come face-to-face with this author, you can bet a million dollar I'll give them a well-deserved slap on Saber's behalf!"

Yes. I'll make sure to slap him for Saber's sake!

"....Saber?"

Now that I thought of it, addressing Saber by his name while I'm inhabiting his body does feel rather... odd? Not to mention, it might make people think I'm a bit off my rocker if they were to hear what I'm thinking. Perhaps I should come up with an alternative?

Sinking back to the ground, I propped my chin on both hands, elbows on my knees, deep in contemplation.

"Hmmmm~"

How about "senior"? Nah, I'd rather be the one to earn that title. How about "junior" then...? Yes, junior it is!

With newfound resolution, I sprung back up to my feet.

"Huup!"

Henceforth, I'm determined to avenge my dear Junior. And as a thank you for him, I'll also ensure that I live my life to the fullest that he wished he could have do within his body!

Giving my backside a few pats to dust off the dirt, I stretched my back with an audible crack and gazed up at the sky.

"Enough contemplation, cause I'ma start my training!"

I looked around and found myself in a secluded area, surrounded by the gentle rustling of leaves.

Let's start with this thing.

Holding a leaf delicately between my thumb and forefinger, I took a steadying breath before beginning my first ever attempt on using magic.

"Ign-

...

..

.

"-ite!"

With the single word leaving my lips, a surge of energy seemed to flow from me to the leaf, causing it to burst into flames. The sudden ignition was startling, and I couldn't help but gape at the spectacle before me as the leaf was reduced to a mere pile of ash.

"...."

It's a success!!!!

Bubbling with excitement, I was about to jump up and celebrate my success when a sudden misstep sent me tumbling into the nearby lake.

With a loud splash, I floundered in the water, struggling to resurface and catch my breath. "Cough...! Cough...!" I managed to cough out between gasps for air.

Finally managing to drag myself out of the water and onto the ground, drenched and panting, I couldn't help but grin broadly. Despite the unexpected plunge, I felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment and exhilaration.

"I did it..." I mumbled to myself, still grinning as I lay there, the water dripping from my clothes. After two days of determined effort, I had successfully conjured magic for the first time.

You might be wondering, what happened during those two days?

Well, for the past two days, I had been training in magic non-stop, ever since I successfully formed my core.

And unlike those supposedly "talented" main characters who miraculously succeed at using magic on their first attempt due to their vague understanding of "science," I approached magic a bit differently. Being a former scientist myself, I found magic to be a rather intriguing subject.

The process was intricate and required a meticulous approach. I began by imagining the fundamental concept of "fire," focusing on the scientific properties and reactions that I knew so well. It was as if I was conducting an experiment in my mind, combining the principles of combustion and energy transfer to replicate the phenomenon of fire through magic. It wasn't just about waving a wand and shouting incantations; it was about understanding the underlying principles and translating them into a different form.

With each attempt, I adjusted my mental calculations, fine-tuning the details of the imagined fire until it felt just right. And finally, as I held that leaf and chanted the incantation, the culmination of my scientific approach and magical intent resulted in a burst of flame.

So, there I was, soaking wet by the lakeside, grinning like a mad scientist. The fusion of science and magic had borne fruit, and I had successfully ignited my first magical fire.

"Since I finally understood the properties I have to manipulate when using Fire Magic, I can also do this..."

Lifting up my index finger, I chanted.

"Ignite."

Suddenly, a mesmerizing blue fire materialized before me, its cerulean hues dancing in the air. This wasn't just a random display of pyrotechnics; it was a calculated application of my scientific knowledge combined with magical manipulation.

You see, blue fire in the natural world is often hotter than the usual orange or red flames. This is due to the presence of certain chemical elements or compounds, such as copper or alcohol, which emit blue light when they burn at high temperatures. Similarly, in the realm of magic, the color and temperature of a fire can be influenced by the precise manipulation of magical energy and the mental visualization of specific properties.

In my case, I harnessed my understanding of these scientific principles to create the illusion of blue fire through magic. By picturing the unique chemical reactions that produce blue flames in the scientific world, I applied a similar concept to my magical approach. The result was a captivating display of azure fire, a testament to the fusion of scientific knowledge and magical practice.

As the blue flames flickered before me, I couldn't help but smile. Not only had I succeeded in mastering basic fire magic, but I had also managed to incorporate a touch of scientific flair into my magical endeavors. It was a small step, but it proved that the synergy between science and magic was indeed possible, opening up new possibilities and avenues of exploration in my journey ahead.

"The next thing I'll be training next should be Ice Magic. Because if I can successfully learn this, I'll be able to combine this with my fire magic and create an element called 'FrostFire' that was said to be not possible to create back in my previous world!"

If I can somehow manipulate the heat of fire while maintaining the ice's state, and make their elements coexist with the help of magic and the theories that I've heard from my previous life, this plan could work.

The devastating potential of Frostfire lies in its dual nature. It possesses the scorching heat of fire and the freezing chill of ice simultaneously, making it a formidable force to reckon with. When Frostfire engulfs its target, it can cause a rapid fluctuation in temperature, subjecting the target to both extreme heat and intense cold in quick succession. This abrupt change in temperature can have catastrophic effects on various materials, causing them to crack, shatter, or even explode due to the rapid expansion and contraction.

Furthermore, Frostfire can be a versatile tool in both offensive and defensive scenarios. Offensively, it can be used to melt through barriers of ice or freeze opponents in their tracks. Defensively, it can create a zone of fluctuating temperatures that discourages adversaries from approaching. The mesmerizing dance of the blue flames can also serve as a distraction, allowing the wielder to maneuver strategically on the battlefield.

However, controlling Frostfire requires a delicate balance between the opposing elements of fire and ice. The wielder must be skilled in both fire and ice magic, as well as possess a deep understanding of the principles that govern their interaction. Mastery of Frostfire demands precise control over the intensity and duration of the flames, as well as the ability to harness their combined destructive potential.

In summary, the combination of fire and ice into Frostfire results in a devastating and visually stunning phenomenon. It harnesses the destructive power of both elements while introducing an element of unpredictability due to the rapid changes in temperature. Mastery of Frostfire requires a skilled and knowledgeable magician who can manipulate these elements in harmony, unleashing their formidable force upon the world.

"Plus, I can also learn much more after this."

I began to rethink about the things that I've thought about during the time I'm still learning how to create a small essence of fire.

Combining fire and ice can lead to various creative and intriguing effects, especially when it comes in a fictional or fantasy context. These are the few possibilities I could do... I also added some VERY cool names:

1. Steam Burst: When fire and ice elements collide, they can create a sudden burst of steam, enveloping the area in a dense cloud. This could be used strategically to obscure vision or as a defensive maneuver.

2. Temperature Shockwave: The rapid transition from extreme heat to cold can create a shockwave, which could knock back enemies or disrupt their balance.

3. Elemental Explosion: Fire and ice could react explosively, causing a powerful blast that damages foes or structures.

4. Frozen Embers: Fire's embers trapped within ice could thaw gradually, releasing pockets of flame that burn anew once the ice melts.

5. Crystalline Flames: Flames and ice particles could combine to form crystalline structures that emit a gentle glow, illuminating dark areas or creating magical pathways.

6. Heat Manipulation: Skillful manipulation of fire and ice could allow for the control of temperature gradients, which could be harnessed for unique applications, like melting obstacles or freezing surfaces.

7. Elemental Fusion: The intense combination of fire and ice might create an entirely new elemental force, possessing properties of both but with distinct characteristics.

8. Steam-Powered Magic: By channeling heat from fire into ice, a character might generate steam that can be directed for various purposes, such as propulsion or energy generation.

9. Elemental Absorption: Using ice to absorb fire's energy or vice versa, a character could temporarily enhance their abilities, gain resistance to heat or cold, or store energy for later release.

10. Vapor Manipulation: Skillful control of fire and ice could enable the manipulation of vapor in the air, allowing for control over mist, fog, or even creating illusions.

"After grasping all of this, it's safe to say I'll become quite overpowered!"

As enthusiasm surged within me, a nagging thought managed to put a damper on my excitement. It was a concern that had to be addressed: my current limitation.

"I MUST increase my mana pool..."

Voicing my determination, I could feel the weight of fatigue that had been gradually accumulating during the two days of relentless practice finally catching up with me.

"More power naps are definitely in order..."
