Chapter 15 - My Master

So you really came back to read Birdynn's narration. Or are you just here for me? You missed me right? Don't worry… I'll soon be the main attraction once again.

Just wait a little longer… okay?

BIRDYNN'S P. O. V

Hiyaaaaah! Oh, it's my turn to tell my story. Yes! I feel like a celebrity being featured on the Kardashians show.

That aside, at the inn where we rented I bumped into a very old man. A very old man I tell you, in the dining room.

He looked Chinese because he had that cliche white beard and a very funny posture. He was bent. I wondered how someone like him still had the strength to stand upright. Deep down I wanted to know who he was.

He was so fascinating to look at. I didn't know when he stood in front of me. He acted like Flash from Flash. My legs began to shake without my permission, "You were looking at me," he said in the calmest voice I have ever heard.

It was so soothing, "I'm sorry," I apologized to him.

He flashed a smile at me, "Follow me," he said and began to walk to one of the tables. I followed him.

Finally, we sat down, "Are you interested in knowing who I am?" He asked.

How did he know? Was he a wizard? An esper? I thought.

I nodded. It was as if that. was the reaction he had been waiting for. He spoke at length about himself. He was a martial arts expert. He spoke of his younger days.

His grandfather had taught him a lot of martial arts styles. I became deeply engrossed when he said that he knew the Kata no Shippo one, "Really!" I screamed in excitement and got up. He nodded.

"Yes," he replied, "I could teach you if you tell me more about yourself," he added.

I told him about my story. And how I was the granddaughter of Saa Maa. He was shocked.

He smiled, "No wonder," he said.

I told him how my grandfather refused to teach me any fighting styles. He listened with rapt attention. After I was done with my talk about myself he stood up, this time his back wasn't bent, "How about I take you in as my student?" He asked.

I was shocked. It was then it dawned on me that I hadn't asked him for his name. But before I could ask he told me, "My name is Lee Wang Chung," he said. He hadn't said his name once when he was telling me his story.

Everyone in the room turned around to take a look at him. I wanted to faint that instant. Who didn't know Lee Wang Chung? He was a prodigy that almost nobody had the opportunity of seeing in their lifetime.

And here was standing before me asking to be my teacher. Oh, someone should tell me I am dreaming. Because I don't want to wake up. This is the best thing that could ever happen to me.

"I accept," I screamed when I finally got myself back to reality.

He flicked his hand at me, "We will meet tomorrow then," he said and disappeared.

Out of nowhere, a note appeared in my right hand. It read, 'I'll be waiting for you at the village dojo". I smiled at the piece of paper and held it close to my chest.

I wasn't dreaming!

I walked back to our room in the inn and met Cunta who equally looked happy. I WASN'T DREAMING!

Yup, it's Ren again. The strongest man alive. Honestly, I can't choose which of the stories is more heartbreaking because they're too beautiful.

In life, the best thing one can have is a beautiful heart because with it you can conquer the world.

I won't be selfish. Cunta and Birdynn will be having their p.o.vs from time to time. I hope you learn something from us.

And yes, Mistaike is saying hi to everyone. [Mistaike: Guess who's the latest contracted Elemental dragon, yes, me!]

We hope to see more of your comments and reviews, our precious readers.

PS: I, Ren, would love to appreciate DarkRedRio personally for him being our first supporter. Thank you very much for finding our story worthy of your power stones.

We are grateful!
