Fhae and I ran down a street and I looked back to see if anyone was following us. I noticed Komine and warned Fhae then picked her up bridal style and tried to awaken my aura, but I couldn't. I grunted and used all of my strength to speed up.
Komine dashed after us and her eyes shined. She summoned her katana and smirked. "Run all you'd like, Human. Vali!"
Komine began to fire blades of light at us. Fhae used her magic to cast a shield around us to block the blades of light. Komine's body began to shine brightly then she appeared in front of us at light speeds. She went for an attack, but my body moved on its own and dodged her attack then I continued to run down the street. My adrenaline was rushing beyond my normal levels, I felt empowered but my heart rate was rising too rapidly forcing me to slow down.
"Rest Dante. I'll take it from here." Fhae said and got out of my arms.
"But—"
"It's okay, Dante." Fhae smiled and caressed my cheek. "Valkyrie fights happen nearly all the time. You need to rest or else your heart will give up on you.."
I gazed upon her then nodded. I watched her walk toward Komine and went somewhere where I could hide so I could rest.
Fhae walked forward toward Komine and summoned her sword. "Komine! I don't know what you're planning with Yuri, but personally I don't like it. You throw this man into the wild and expect him to defend himself?! That's not our purpose! We are supposed to protect!"
"Get out of the way, Fhae. These are direct orders to strike him down! We don't know what that sly woman gave Dante, but his streak of luck ends here! We were supposed to kill him a long time ago, and since he didn't die at the Forest, we'll kill him right now!" Komine said.
Fhae glared and got into her stance. "If you want him, you'll have to get past me!"
"Hmph... Alright and if I win, I will kill you and take Freyr away from you!" Komine bellowed and dashed toward Fhae.
Fhae dashed toward Komine then the two clashed. They pushed each other away and began to rapidly clash until Komine dodged Fhae's next attack then struck her with a barrage of light speed attacks then knocked her away with a powerful kick. Fhae flew backwards then performed a back handspring and recovered on her feet.
She noticed Komine was gone then groaned when Komine struck her from behind. Komine appeared in front of Fhae then struck her with a staggering blow then hit Fhae with a series of kicks then kicked her upwards. Komine jumped up and twirled then kicked Fhae to the ground. Fhae groaned as she hit the ground, creating a small crater in the ground.
Komine landed on the ground and scoffed. She walked toward Fhae and stood over her. "You should've just left while you could."
Komine prepared the finishing blow then dodged my spear. She noticed it stick to the digital wall and looked back. She glared as she watched me walk out of the alleyway and readied her sword.
"I can't allow you to kill her. I've only known her for a few hours and she's done more for me than any of you could've aside from Cornelia. I may still only be human, but I...am now a Valkyrie." I said then my aura surrounded my body. I summoned my sword and walked forward.
Komine watched me and felt my power level growing by the second. She braced herself and smirked. "So this is the power Grace had trouble with. No matter, I'll handle you right here!"
Komine dashed toward me and slashed at me, but I dodged it then kneed her stomach. She groaned as fluid began to fly from her mouth. She stumbled backward then grunted when I punched her face. I bellowed and knocked her away then ran toward her. She slid backwards on the ground and blocked my attack.
She pushed me back then began to rapidly clash with me then dodged my next attack and thrusted her sword at me, but I used the flat end of my blade to block the attack. She seemed a bit surprised and looked at me.
"My intelligence is S+. I am not stupid in the slightest. You all probably expected some dumb guy that couldn't fight at all huh? I'm 23 and I used to fight a lot in my teen years. I've been in a lot of martial arts classes!" I bellowed and struck her with a right hook.
Komine groaned and stumbled then groaned when I struck her with my sword and knocked her away. I threw my sword at her and she barely managed to deflect it. She appeared behind me at light speeds then noticed me dodge her attack.
"His body moved on its own...there's no way he saw that attack!" Komine yelled and slashed again.
"Komine! I've figured it out! He has the power of Tyr! Not only that...it seems like he has direct contact with his power, meaning he probably has ALL of his abilities!" Yuri said in Komine's earpiece.
Komine stepped backwards and looked at me. "Can you see why he keeps getting stronger? Each blow we throw at each other he seems to grow even stronger."
"Combat Empowerment! He's gonna grow stronger the longer he's in combat phase! His condition grows with each blow and he can temporarily break his limits!" Yuri answered in her earpiece.
Komine scoffed and looked at me. "You must think you're so tough now huh. Cornelia had a little soft spot for you and now you think you're a hero amongst us? Even with these powers, you are still vastly below me!"
I chuckled a bit and turned around. "The only thing keeping me moving at this moment the motivation to see my daughter in my arms again. I can hear her cries in my head still. I can feel her sadness. Her confusion. I'm not stopping at anything until I see her again. I took on the responsibility of being her father and I'm not gonna just lie down and wait to die!"
"Ha! Well get ready to see how disappointing reality truly can be because I'm not letting you get any further!" Komine bellowed. She dashed toward me and stopped when she noticed Fhae block her path. "Fhae! I told you once to get out of my way!"
Fhae grabbed her cloak and threw it off then her eyes shined. "No. You all call him useless, but this is the same guy who went toe to toe with Grace and you. He's useful to us, plus it's not fair that you're keeping him away from his own child. He's my ally and I won't stand for this any longer! You can throw any other male away, but Dante is one I won't allow you to get rid of.."
Komine glared and her fox ears flicked then she got into her stance. "Fine. I guess we're doing this the hard way."
"I guess we are.." Fhae said then got into her stance then her Sacred Aura surrounded her body.
Komine and Fhae stared at each other. Komine dashed toward Fhae and bellowed as she slashed down at Fhae. Fhae parried her attack then struck Komine with a spinning heel kick, knocking Komine away then dashed toward her. Komine blocked Fhae's onslaught of attacks then kicked Fhae away and deflected my arrows.
She began to move at light speeds toward me and kicked me against the digital wall and grabbed my neck then yelled as she dragged me against the wall and threw me. She sensed Fhae and dodged her attack then rapidly clashed with her. The two began to dash down the street, firing energy blasts at each other. The blasts collided with one another causing multiple explosions.
The two stopped and dashed toward each other and clashed once more. Komine pushed Fhae away then swept her feet from under her with a kick then knocked her up and jumped up to kick her away. Fhae groaned as she crashed into the digital wall then Komine blasted her with a beam of light, causing an explosion.
I bellowed as I dashed toward her and summoned my spear. I began to thrust my spear at Komine, but she began to dodge each strike then blocked my slashes with my sword. I moved backwards and thrusted my spear again, keeping distance, but she sliced the blade off my spear with her katana.
Komine smirked and appeared in front of me at light speeds then launched me away with a kick then threw multiple knives at me and began to warp to each one while striking me away at light speeds then appeared above me. She went for the final attack of her combo then grunted at Fhae grabbed Komine with her vines and slammed her to the ground.
Komine stood up slowly and grunted then let out a battle cry and her light aura surged powerfully around her body. A halo formed over her head and she began to form eight more tails of light. She tapped into her Jotunn Abilities.
Fhae twirled her sword and awakened her Valkyrie Form and her aura surged powerfully around her body. She dashed toward Komine and Komine dashed toward her. They went for an attack at the same time then struck each other's faces. Komine bellowed and managed to overpower Fhae then began to release an onslaught of slashes at light speeds on Fhae. Komine palmed Fhae and blew her away.
Komine dodged my attacks from behind then elbowed my stomach. I groaned and coughed up a bit of blood then she struck me with a kick then began to attack me with a barrage of slashes then blew me away with a light beam.
Komine sensed a hidden attack then dodged a thorn spike emerging from the ground then began to dodge more spikes and groaned when I struck her with my axe. I roared and slammed her to the ground then groaned when I was blown to the sky by an orb of light energy. The orb exploded and dealt critical damage on me.
Fhae ran forward as she noticed me falling out the sky. She began to dodge Komine's bolts of light then caught me and set me down. I began to slowly get out of her arms then fell onto one knee.
"You two can't win. It's time you two gave up this game of cat and mouse! There's nothing you can do to stop me from killing you, Dante!" Komine bellowed.
I stood up slowly and my heart began beating quickly. "I can hear her...I can hear her crying in my head. Atalia...I won't leave you alone in this cruel world. I won't leave my daughter behind!" I yelled and my aura surged then lightning crackled around my body.
"Nngh! He's awakening more of his Valkyrie Abilities! Is this what you planned Yuri?!" Komine asked.
"No! I didn't plan for this! I was expecting him to die long before this, but luck is on his side!" Yuri answered.
"You all will give me back my daughter!" I roared and dashed toward Komine and struck her face. My eyes shined with pure anger.
Komine groaned as she was knocked backwards. I struck her stomach with a body blow and followed it with a roundhouse kick then grabbed her arm and pulled her toward me then kneed her stomach. Komine coughed blood and crashed into a digital wall.
Komine softly grunted as she landed back onto her feet. Her legs began shaking and she began to pant. Her eyes shined red then she roared and her aura became even stronger as she awkaned her Valkyrie Form.
She dashed toward me and was struck by Fhae then was kicked away. She dashed toward Fhae and yelled. Fhae dashed toward Komine and clashed with her, generating a shockwave. The two began to clashed three more times before entering a blade lock. The two pushed each other away and ran off once again. I ran after them and began to feel my adrenaline rushing once again.
The two rapidly clashed and bellowed. They knocked each other away then Komine fired a barrage of light orbs at Fhae, but Fhae countered with a giant orb of Sacred Energy and fired it at Komine. Komine jumped over the orb and threw her sword at Fhae, but she dodged it. Komine warped toward her blade and slashed at Fhae from behind. I pushed Fhae out the way and dodged the slash then struck her stomach with a swiping chop.
I grabbed Komine's face and spun around then slammed her against the digital wall then dragged her against the wall and threw her. Fhae used her vines to grab Komine's legs and pulled her toward us.
"It ends here!" I roared and struck her stomach with a powerful slash with my sword. I slashed through her and everything went quiet.
Komine softly groaned and fell to her knees then her eight tails disappeared. She panted softly and stared at the ground. "How..? How could I lose to a man...? A mere human..?"
"You didn't lose to just any man.." I said and looked back. "You lost to another Valkyrie, Komine."
Komine closed her eyes and placed her hand on the ground. She smiled and chuckled. "You truly believe you can be one of us..? You physically can not be a Valkyrie. It is impossible for a male to be a Valkyrie because of genetics.."
"Then I'll be something more than a Valkyrie...I have every ability that Tyr has. Something a normal Valkyrie can not achieve." I said then walked off. "I will be the one living Einherjar, a Berserker if you will. No matter what, no one is going to stop me from being with my daughter. Not even Yuri."
Fhae watched then followed me and her cloak appear around her body. She closed her eyes and sighed. "See you at HQ, Komine."
Komine stood up and pressed her earpiece. "It's all up to you now, Commander. There's no stopping him from reaching HQ."
"Yeah I know, and I will deal with him. Alone.." Yuri said in her earpiece. "Modi and Magni have not failed me before. They won't now. I will put Dante in his place."
