As they moved quickly through the red desert, Hope wondered what it was that made Cale act this way.

Hope's eyes widened at Cale's question.

The two of them finally stopped, comfortable in the fact that there were no monsters around. When Cale came to the place where he found Alice last time, he saw the same image he had seen in his past life.
The chaos energy in Alice's body was manifesting itself, killing monsters many times bigger than her.
