"...Thank you so much for helping me," Hope said as three pairs of eyes looked at her.
"Why thank you when we haven't done anything yet?" Dante said coldly as he leaned back with his arms folded across his chest.
"I never thought that one day I would agree with what he said," Amaris said as she looked at Hope. "Like he said, we haven't done anything yet, you can thank us after we save Felix."
Hope smiled at the way they comforted her. She was nervous and worried. The possibility that something bad had happened to Felix kept gnawing at her brain. Hope couldn't forget Felix's face when he showed up at her door two nights ago.
Felix normally had a laid-back personality. He didn't worry about things easily. But whatever had happened that night, Felix had a look of terror on his face. It was as if something he'd seen or heard had left him deeply terrified.
