The man with food crumbs smeared on his face began to giggle with a perverse smile as he looked at the ten people he considered objects. His appearance was so ugly that some of the hunters grimaced without realizing it. But the fat man didn't seem to mind.
"Good, good, they all look like pretty good pieces. What do you say Jaqar?"
Cale was startled to hear a name he recognized and looked at the man who was about to leave the door of the building. He knew this man. He had fought and killed him in his other life. Now this man was standing in front of him, unharmed.
Perez looked at Cale, worried as if to see what he was thinking, but his expression was as calm as ever. Perez didn't understand what he was thinking. He was there when Cale killed Jaqar, even if he didn't see it himself.
