When Cale jumped backwards, all the people who had just been injured started to stand up, twisting their bodies. Perez was horrified as he watched in amazement.
"What is this?"
"These are mirage creatures," Cale said and Perez turned to him with wide eyes.
"What are mirage creatures?"
"Mirage creatures are monsters that replicate themselves on reflected surfaces and steal the faces of the people they touch."
"Why didn't you tell me this before? Wait! Is that why there's water everywhere!"
"I had guesses, but I wasn't sure until that one over there attacked me," he said, pointing to the woman holding the so-called doll, whose face changed.
The woman's face changed, revealing big eyes that took up half of her face. Instead of a nose, there were two small holes and four tongues came out of her mouth. Her back hunched and her arms lengthened and from the waist down she disappeared and billowed like a curtain.
