When the funeral was over, Felix left his friends and got into the car prepared for him. His mother and father got into the car in front, while he got into the one behind them. When Felix saw this, he began to feel uneasy.
As the rain increased in intensity, the drops sliding rapidly against the glass made Felix look like he was crying as he looked at his reflection in the window. The rain was so heavy that Felix wondered how the driver hadn't lost control of the steering wheel at this speed.
At the end of the journey in silence, he got out of the car. No one had brought an umbrella for him so he had to go inside, soaking wet in the rain. Before he went inside, he was struck by lightning as if it were a harbinger of bad things to come.
The thunder that followed was so loud it was deafening. Felix walked in, feeling uneasy, and saw his parents standing in the living room, dry and clean, unlike him.
